Blue TARP Initiative
A simple BLUE tarp.
For the homeless its one of a few basic survival gear - for many homeless it also represents a trap - being caught in a cycle that largely by themselves they are unable to get out of on their own.
With limited space and only so many local shelters, there are many nights when some have no choice but to sleep on the streets.
The BLUE TARP Initiative is an initiative specifically addressing the key survival needs of homeless on the streets through the winter. The days approaching Christmas through into the New Year are some of the most dangerous and lonely days of the entire year for them.
Through your generosity and donations the BLUE TARP Initiative goal is to IDENTIFY those at RISK during this season and provide them with Survival Packs helping them to stay safe, warm, dry..
Our GOAL is to raise $10,000 for 200 paks ($50 of items in each pak - A Blue TARP being one of them)
These Survival PAKS are backpacks (generously donated through Wolfe Auto Group & High Sierra), designed specifically for living rough on the street equipped with a list essential and basic items that been recommended to us by those who know best and are on the street.
