We gather EVERY Sunday from 10am - Noon
Join us for a time of pre-service prayer from 9:30am.
Our Sunday gathering offers practical times of learning taught in a through different ways; teachings, media, group discussion to name a few but all in a fun, relaxed and engaging atmosphere. We use as many forms of communication to share Biblical truths that are relevant to your everyday life because we all learn in different ways.
“Come on in and welcome to Friends Langley Vineyard. We don't want you feeling like your alone, while surrounded by a group of people all gathering together. So know that there is a place for you too. There's nothing fancy or slick about us. We gather as a group in a simple, informal atmosphere.
Our worship time is led by a full band (usually) in a style of music that makes intimacy with God easy and natural, but we also like to celebrate too, how good God is and all that He's done in our lives.
We study God's Word, the Bible
Each teaching is Bible-based and practical, lending itself to real-life application. Our message is relevant for those who have a relationship with Jesus as well as those who might be seeking to find out who God is. We know that it's sometimes impossible to escape the difficulties of life, but we can equip ourselves with the truth in God's Word in order to meet these challenges head-on.
We seek God's guidance and presence. Individual prayer and ministry is available during each service.
We have fun!
We laugh a lot. We believe that church should be enjoyable. All forms of dress are welcome here at the Vineyard. Most people dress west coast kinda casual.
A Typical Sunday Morning Service looks like this:
9:30 am Pre-service prayer. Anyone is encouraged to join us in our 24/7 prayer
room to pray!
10am Or as close to it as possible! (we enjoy when we gather and love coffee so sometimes its hard to get the ball rolling. We're trying though!)
We begin our service, usually with our Host for the morning welcoming everyone (They're usually a leader in FLV); they pray or read scripture; introduce our worship team and from then, we head into a time (roughly 45 minutes) of worshipping God together through songs (contemporary, older songs and hymns), with sometime scriptures being read, or a word of encouragement being given.
10:45 am Or there abouts, our Host will let the church know of some of the more important things going on. We then have a short break (about 10-15 mins) for our kids to get to Sunday School and for the rest of us to grab a coffee connect with a few people before sitting down for the teaching.
11 am (ish) A leader from our church (or sometimes a friend from somewhere else who we really know and trust) will give a talk till about noon. This is a time focused on hearing what God has to say to us through the Bible and the Holy Spirit and those he uses to speak truth to us. Often there’s a time after the teaching when individuals, couples or families can receive prayer. It may be in response to the message, or that they need prayer for physical healing or whatever else God has impacted them with.
noonish Sometime around noon the service is over, many hang around and chat with friends, people are praying for each other – a really good time, all around! At this time parents pick up their kids from Sunday School.
