Vineyard Canada National Celebration – July 18-21st, 2010 – Penticton, BC

Every new day brings challenges and possibilities; this can be both terrifying and exhilarating. Could it be that God is orchestrating each moment to call us forward? Could it be that all of our history, heritage and our present reality have been uniquely designed by God to prepare us to fully enter into the future that he has for us? We think so. Let’s embrace the adventure of today!

This coming summer we will gather from across our nation to meaningfully connect with God and one another. We expect, no matter what age, to be re-energized and renewed to pursue the adventure God has placed us in today with greater faith and passion, to be and do all that he has called us to.

Hosted by the Vineyard Churches of British Columbia, this National Celebration takes place in the city of Penticton which abounds with the natural beauty of mountain slopes, pristine lakes and sunny skies. Join with Vineyard friends and family from across Canada as together we experience the presence of God and the love of his people!

the event

There is often a ‘disconnect’ between what we believe, and our actual practice with regards to our expectations of the in-breaking kingdom of God. We can err to either retreating to a ‘risk free’ existence of living ordinary lives that have no expectation of God’s supernatural intervention; or, we becoming so focused on expecting the  ‘supernatural’  that we become blind to the profound kingdom breakthroughs in the simplest and most ordinary acts of obedience and service to the ‘least of these.’ The Good News reveals that the kingdom of God comes in both forms, and they complement each other.

Our morning and evening sessions will be prefaced with times of worship. There will times of interaction and opportunities will be given to put into practice what we’re learning.

Every participant will be challenged to actively do Jesus’ ministry. You will receive hands-on training to live the Good News of the kngdom in your home, school, workplace and church.

~Learn to hear God’s voice with clarity
~Learn to recognize God at work
~Partner with God to heal & transform lives

There’s more to the ‘Good News’ than going to church and trying to kick bad habits. The message of Jesus is that the Father set you free to join him transforming the world. Just like Jesus, the Father speaks, we respond, and he acts, expressing his power & love to a world in need.

Come and expect to be equipped and encouraged – to renew old friendships, and make some new ones. Through this time, our hopes are that together, we will come to greater appreciation and anticipation of the kingdom in it’s ‘natural’ and ‘supernatural’ forms, in our place of  work, home, neighbourhood and schools, and that the miracle of each will become more integrated and seamless in our lives at work, home, school, and neighbourhood.
