Elder - Staff
Right from birth I've experienced God's grace and love throughout my life - Born some "Forty-something" years ago in Peru my twin brother and I were each just barely 2lbs. The doctor decided we would be best left to die in some corner of a hospital room thinking we would never make it. This was normal practice.
Through this and many other life experiences - both good and challenging (code word for "FAILURES" ) I've gained a living reality of God's unfailing love for me - and a desire to embrace the fullness of that AND as importantly to GIVE it away to those around me.
My passion is to continue to walk in an ever continually deepening relationship with God - and to call others to the same and seeing the church equipped and built up to fulfill the goodworks that he's called us to.
Not to mention my passion for hotrods, ratrods and any vintage vehicle!
I'm the husband to the cute and perky Patti White (you can see her just below!), a father to 4 grown women, and now proudly wear the title "Poppi" to one 7 yearr old grandson!
Prior to serving for the last 12 years at FLV - my careers consisted of putting my passions for design, coffee and cool pens to work - leading as a manager for IKEA, Starbucks and Staples.
In addition to being an "Elder" I am a wife, a mom, a Nana, spiritual director, an office manager at Trinity Western University, a gardener, and a great cook!
I want to live authentically, every day! Being aware of the events that make up a day and watching to see God in the midst of it.
I 'm passionalte about Spiritual Formation (different ways of connecting with God and allowing God to transform us into Christ's likeness). I love hearing the stories of people's spiritual journey's and helping them see where Jesus is moving in their lives and recognising the deep intimate love of the Father.
Family and friendships are very important to me. Nothing compares to a great dinner with family or friends and/or a night of laughing and sharing.
I love being married to Leith (28 years). Together we love traveling, hiking, watching movies, drinking coffee on the deck, making each other laugh, and being grandparents.
